This ancient civilization was notable for its well-planned cities, advanced drainage and sanitation systems, intricate pottery, and sophisticated craftsmanship.

Two of the most prominent cities of the Harappan civilization were Harappa and Mohenjo-daro. Both cities showcase the remarkable urban planning and architectural achievements of this ancient culture. Harappa, located in present-day Pakistan, was one of the first cities of the Indus Valley Civilization to be discovered, giving the civilization its name. Mohenjo-daro, also in Pakistan, is considered to be one of the best-preserved and most extensive urban settlements of the ancient world.
